If you like to dance, watch others dance or want to learn some new moves (because the step ´n’ snap isn’t really considered dancing), go to Dancing In The Street and Off the Wall. On Saturday, September 29, celebrate the start of fall theater season in Grand Center (North Grand and Lindell boulevards; 314-533-1884 or www.grandcenter.org) with four stages of local dance companies, live music and fireworks. More than 80 acts showcase a multitude of dance styles, from belly dancing to classical ballet to hip-hop; the “off the wall” portion of the festival is provided by Project Bandaloop -- a California-based dance and acrobatic group that will perform 25 stories up on the side of the Continental Life Building at 4 p.m. and again at 7:30 p.m. And once you’re suitably inspired, take a lesson in salsa, tango or West Coast Swing from the on-site instructors. All the outdoor hoopla begins at 2 p.m.; the Grand Center galleries and museums will be open from 1 to 4 p.m., and mini-tours of the Fox Theatre are available from 1 to 5 p.m. Admission is free.
