Briefly, near the mid-point of Cannonball Run II, the Rat Pack is reunited: Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr. and Francis Albert Sinatra share a scene that is marginally entertaining. If only the “story” had stopped there, and the cameras had captured three supremely talented friends doing what they did best -- entertain -- Cannonball Run II would not be known as the lesser Cannonball. The Rat Pack: Live at the Sands re-creates the halcyon years in Vegas, when Dino, Sammy and Frank ruled not only the stage, but the world. Comedy, singing, camaraderie -- it’s all there, with a fifteen-piece band onstage and you in the audience. And no Dom DeLuise in sight. The Rat Pack: Live at the Sands fires up at 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 3, at the Fox Theatre (527 North Grand Boulevard; 314-534-1111 or www.fabulousfox.com); performances continue through Sunday, October 14 (no shows on Monday). Tickets are $19 to $57.
Mondays-Sundays. Starts: Oct. 3. Continues through Oct. 14, 2007
