Everyone loves a musical revue. And what’s not to love? A talented cast performs the best songs from your favorite movies and/or plays -- it’s an action-packed songstravaganza! The Lindenwood University Department of Theatre knows the magic of a fun revue, so it presents Blame It on the Movies! at 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday (October 18 through 27). The performances include much-loved music from classic films such as The Wizard of Oz, Footloose, Meet Me in St. Louis and Goldfinger. But what really sets this revue apart are the other movies from which songs have been selected, like Jaws and Psycho. Interesting, interesting -- you don’t hear their tunes performed every day. Tickets to check out Blame It on the Movies! cost $8 to $12, and to make a purchase in advance, call 636-949-4878. The shows happen at the university’s Cultural Center Auditorium (400 North Kingshighway Street, St. Charles; www.lindenwood.edu).
