Zooloween

If your little goblins are currently wearing their costumes and already hepped up on candy corn, you could burn off some of their Halloween fervor – for cheap – at Pumpkin Prowl Nights at the Saint Louis Zoo in Forest Park (314-781-0900 or www.stlzoo.org). From 5 to 9 p.m. every evening between Saturday, October 20, and Tuesday, October 30, kids can sport their costumes while touring Pirate’s Cove and Boneyard Park, make a “creepy craft” and ride the transformed “Scare-ou-sel.” It’s a non-scary, total-fun experience for the whole family; well, mostly for the kids, but it’ll keep 'em from tearing up the house. Admission is free, but some events (night hikes, Conservation Carousel) do require cash.
