More About
The Evil Side of Broadway sounds as if it might be a show about how the machinery of staging a show destroys the very souls of all involved but its actually a Halloween-inspired musical revue staged by SoundStage Productions. Laura Ernst, Kimi Short, Helene Meyer, Randy Stinebaker and accompanist Chris Peterson take a walk through some of the darker tunes from Broadways long history, from the obvious scary musicals such as Sweeney Todd and Little Shop of Horrors to the more psychologically horrifying shows (Kiss of the Spider Woman). The Evil Side of Broadway is presented at 8 p.m. at Minions Café (7322 Manchester Road, Maplewood; 314-781-4800) on Thursday, Saturday and Wednesday (October 25 through 31). Tickets are $12.50, and dinner will be available from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at regular prices.
