People have been going to circuses for centuries because this form of entertainment continually evolves with the times. The Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey folks know how to keep things fresh perhaps better than any other circus outfit -- they’re working on their 136th edition! So they decided it was time to debut the Circus of Dreams, a re-envisioned circus with all the stuff you love and more! Unlike any other Ringling et al. production, this show tells a story and stars an American Idol finalist as the ringmaster (Jennifer Fuentes). Plus, the Circus of Dreams features Bengal tigers, horses and acrobats! The fun rolls into the Scottrade Center (South 14th Street and Clark Avenue) on Thursday, November 8, and sticks around through Sunday, November 11. Shows happen at 7 p.m. on Thursday and Friday; 11:30 a.m., 3:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Saturday; and 1 p.m. on Sunday, and all performances are preceded by free pre-show events beginning one hour before go-time. Admission to Dreams costs $11 to $70; to make a purchase, call 314-241-1888 or visit www.ticketmaster.com.
