Three-ring Benefit

The Circus to Save Lives has every element of a traditional circus — lions, tigers, elephants, daredevils, aerialists and clowns. But as the name implies, this family-oriented event is designed to not just wow you but also entice you to open your wallet for a noble cause. From Thursday through Sunday (November 15 through 18) at the Family Arena (2002 Arena Parkway, St. Charles), the Jordan World Circus performs seven public shows to raise money for the Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes St. Peters Hospital. The first show is at 10 a.m. Thursday, and the official grand opening extravaganza is at 7 p.m., which is also Cancer Survivors Night. Whether you go to thrill at the Steel Globe of Death motorcycle stunt team, to get your picture taken with a bear or to help in the fight against cancer, you’re sure to get your money’s worth. Tickets are $16.50 to $25; call 636-278-5110 or visit www.circustosavelives.org for more information and additional show times.
