Vertigo USA refers to itself as "A Celebration of the Music and Spirit of U2." With this in mind, what can I (the writer) tell you (the reader) about them that you don't already know? You've probably already made up your mind on U2 and on tribute bands. The tributary fetishism is there — Vertigo USA's frontman looks suspiciously like Bono, and its guitarist comes armed with an army of delay pedals. However, the aforementioned tagline implies that the band members aim to "celebrate" U2 rather than attempt to be them. They're U2 fans wanting to play U2 songs for other U2 fans — and if you like U2, then that includes you, too. If you're not a fan, they will play on, with or without you.
