Yule Be Merry

By Jeanette Kozlowski

Published on December 05, 2007

Is it the soft luminance of colored lights, the harsh sting of coldness, the ring-a-ling of bells or the high dose of holiday cheer that makes us all feel so sing-songy this time of year? Whatever your caroling vice may be, join Patrick Murphy from KETC-TV (Channel 9) at 8 p.m. for a night of heartwarming seasonal tunes at the Sheldon Concert Hall (3648 Washington Boulevard; www.thesheldon.org or 314-533-9900). During the Yuletide Reflections show, Murphy narrates and Allen Carl Larson (pictured) directs as the brand-new Sheldon Chorale sings beloved selections that will make you shed a tear or, at the very least, hum along merrily. But before you receive this gift of harmonious choir music, you should give a non-perishable food item at the door to benefit Food Outreach. Tickets for Yuletide Reflections are $10 to $15 and can be purchased from MetroTix at 314-534-1111.
