Snowflake Patrol

By Alison Sieloff

Published on December 26, 2007

Everyone spent time during his or her formative years cutting out snowflakes and pasting them onto construction paper. Maybe one of your parents taught you how to do this, or perhaps your instruction came from your preschool teacher. And that's all fine and good. Really. But wouldn't you prefer for your children to get snowflake-making lessons from a professional? From a real artist? From someone who has even written books about creating the most awesome snowflakes? That's what we thought. Well, what are you waiting for? Junior's not getting any younger! Get over to the Magic House (516 South Kirkwood Road, Kirkwood; 314-822-8900 or www.magichouse.org) where artist and author Marion Nichols offers the Flake Off! workshops from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday (January 5 and 6). These sessions are free once you've paid your Magic House admission ($7.50), and no reservations are required.
