Ready to prep for Mardi Gras? You can go the party-bro route or the classy route. Party-bro route: guzzling hurricanes, practicing the art of the discreet pee, passing out at 2 p.m. Classy route: helping to raise money for our city's biggest yearly party, sampling wines, mingling with other St. Louisans. If you selected the latter, you chose correctly, and you'll want to attend the Mardi Gras Wine Taste tonight from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. This party is doubly awesome, as it takes place at both the Lemp Grand Hall (1817 Cherokee Street) and the Mad Art Gallery (2727 South 12th Street). Each venue offers tastes of many local and national wines, plus food samples, live music and art exhibits. Begin your evening at whichever locale you wish; trolleys are available to ferry attendees between Mad Art and the Lemp.
