Hey, Look; Secret Garden.

The deep and magical universe of flora may house many delights, but no other family matches the alien beauty of Orchidaceae. Playing off the childlike wonder orchids inspire, the Missouri Botanical Garden's annual Orchid Show has taken the theme "Storybook Classics." A mere $3 charge (in addition to regular garden admission) gives you access to 800 orchids nestled among sets inspired by Jack and the Beanstalk, The Secret Garden and other plant-themed tales. And these are people-size homages, not orchid-size models. The show is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily Saturday, February 2, through Sunday, March 16, in MOBOT's Ridgway Center (4344 Shaw Boulevard; 314-577-9400 or www.mobot.org).
