Your Prints Has Come

Printmakers often feel like the whipping boys (and girls) of the fine-arts community. By nature their work defies the "one-of-a-kind" cachet that makes most collectors swoon. Instead, printmakers' art is meant for mass production, and that means the savings are passed on to you. Come celebrate the work of these artists at Prints Gone Wild 3 on Saturday and Sunday (February 23 and 24) at the Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis (3750 Washington Boulevard; 314-535-4660 or www.contemporarystl.org). Evil Prints mastermind Tom Huck curates this show and sale, which features art by the inky pirates of Brooklyn-based Cannonball Press. Specializing in black-and-white, affordable prints (priced at less than $50), Cannonball Press artists create pieces that range from the funny to the profane. Prints Gone Wild 3 opens at 6 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. on Sunday; admission is free both days.
Sat., Feb. 23; Sun., Feb. 24, 2008
