Link to the Past

You already know one work designed by architect Theodore C. Link — that would be St. Louis Union Station — and today, you have a chance to check out a few more. After Monticello Female Seminary in Godfrey, Illinois, burned to the ground, Link designed the buildings to replace those lost to fire. These structures are now occupied by Lewis & Clark Community College (5800 Godfrey Road), and Landmarks Association of St. Louis, Inc. board member Gary Tetley and Linda Nevlin, the executive director of the Monticello College Foundation, are providing a guided tour.
