Tonight, make it up to him/her with the next best thing to a quick getaway: The State Symphony Orchestra of Mexico performs at 8 p.m. at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis (4431 Lindell Boulevard; 314-533-7662 or www.stlcathedralconcerts.org). That's right, the sunny romance of Mexico comes to you, in the guise of a world-class symphony orchestra! And you even get special musical guest Alfonso Moreno. The classical guitarist performs Rodrigo's Fantasia para un gentilhombre with the orchestra, adding his lush tone to the cathedral's gorgeous acoustics. Tickets are $15 to $35 — you'll never find a flight to Mexico less expensive than that.
