Choose Your Illusion

St. Louis is quite the hotbed for magical activity, and Ms. Day couldn't be any happier about it. Of course, the International Brotherhood of Magicians is headquartered in our fair city, so that's pretty cool. And several successful magicians are from St. Louis, including Rachael Ray show regular Justin Kredible (who was in town last month) and Andy Gross, who's performing here this weekend! Gross' show, dubbed Mind Boggling, combines four fabulous elements: comedy (Day loves to laugh), ventriloquism (which definitely can be a bit scary), magic (hell, yeah!) and the paranormal (perfect!). To be amazed by Gross (and to have a little dinner while you're at it), head to the Cabaret at Savor (4356 Lindell Boulevard). Mind Boggling happens there at 8 p.m. Thursday and at 7:30 and 9:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday (March 27 through 29). A pre-show, three-course dinner plus the performance costs $50, and you'll pay $40 for just two courses; tickets for the magical extravaganza alone cost $15, with a $12 tab minimum per person. To save your spot to be blown away, call 314-531-0220 or visit www.cabaretatsavor.com.
