The Kevin Kline Awards exist to honor theater artists, but if nobody attends the awards show, does the honor really count? Yes — but it won't be as much fun for the winners to accept the award if there isn't a bunch of applause and hollering from the audience. So show up, and yell for the winners. And yell for the nominees, too. The show begins at 7 p.m. at the Loretto-Hilton Center on Webster University's campus (130 Edgar Road; 314-531-7529 or www.kevinklineawards.org). Lara Teeter is your singing-and-dancing master of ceremonies, and this year's big opening number was written by Al Fischer. Tickets are $100 to $500, but that includes the post-show reception in the lobby and dancing in the pavilion. This is an awards show, so black-tie attire is encouraged.
