A wise frog once said, "It's not easy being green." Blue, however, is another story — at least for the bald-headed, cobalt-covered trio of percussionists known as Blue Man Group. Not only have they enjoyed immense critical and commercial success since their debut 1991 Tubes show, but on the creative front, the organization continually reinvents its own unique blend of theater, music, comedy and art. With this week's CD/DVD release of How to Be a Megastar Live! — hello, "Baba O'Riley" cover! — the Blue Men turn the amps to eleven. Their current production is also a rock show of epic proportions: The How to Be a Megastar 2.1 tour features a warm-up DJ, live vocalists, eight-piece band and a dose of pop-factory satire as amusing as it is insightful. Kermit would be proud.
