Between Day & Night

Also known as twilight

Even as this is being written, the writer is looking longingly out the window across the hall at clear blue skies and golden sunlight, wondering why quitting time is always so far off. When the weather at last bursts into spring, it’s nigh-impossible to stay indoors — and as of 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 29, the outdoor entertainment season begins again. The Missouri History Museum (Lindell Boulevard and DeBaliviere Avenue; 800-916-8212 or www.mohistory.org) officially throws the party into high gear with the first Twilight Tuesday outdoor concert of the season. Saxophonists Dwayne and Dwight, better known as the Bosman Twins, open the series with their beloved blend of “rough and raw” jazz, which sounds so much better than staying late at work to worry about online photo cropping issues. Admission to Twilight Tuesday is free, but due to the popularity of the series, some shows will have a VIP seating option ($10 reserved seats up front). The series continues every Tuesday through June 10.
