Can You Spare Some Change?

The black rhinoceros is a formidable creature, weighing in at more than a ton, but do you know what beast is more fearsome? The human. Our shameful species has hunted rhinos for their horns so much so that we've put the animals in the critically endangered category. But not all humans are bad, of course. The compassionate ones are heading to Tropicana Lanes (7960 Clayton Road, Richmond Heights) tonight for Bowling for Rhinos, a benefit hosted by the St. Louis chapter of the American Association of Zoo Keepers. You, too, can help redeem mankind and raise money for the conservation of our horned friends. Just show up at the alley at 6 p.m. with $25 in hand — which will net you two games, shoe rental and a T-shirt — or arrive with even more cash to bid on silent-auction items.
