Flower Power

The Cupples House blossoms

Published on May 07, 2008

When you have a slightly tacky, cluttered apartment, a few vases of inexpensive flowers definitely help spruce up the place. But imagine how much of a difference expertly arranged florals could make in various rooms of a beautifully restored mansion — sounds lovely, right? Thanks to the St. Louis Florists Network, the Historic Samuel Cupples House on the Saint Louis University campus (3673 West Pine Mall) receives just such a treatment! This Rooms in Bloom display opens at 11 a.m. Tuesday through Saturday (May 13 through 17), and during the event you can tour the house for free and admire the elaborate bouquets and the gorgeous home. Plus, there's a special evening reception beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday that includes the flowers, the touring and the music of Silk Pajamas. For more information call 314-977-3575 or visit cupples.slu.edu.
