With all the fashion in the air — St. Louis' fashion week was just held in March and America's Next Top Model finished up Cycle Ten less than two weeks ago — it's no wonder that dogs are wanting to get in on the designer action. Despite the fact that our loveable pooches often sport muddy paws and sniff the private areas of others, they do care about how they present themselves to the world and they want to put their best paws forward. Besides, the pups know that if they're wearing a rain slicker or something else super-presh, it's easier for humans to overlook typical yet unattractive behavior. To see what's in doggy style this season, head over to Lola and Penelope's Premier Pet Boutique & Wellness Center (7742 Forsyth Boulevard, Clayton; 314-863-5652 or www.lolaandpenelopes.com) for its Spring/Summer Fashion Splash, which features a show of both high-fashion and more casual pet chic. The free event begins at 2 p.m. and also includes refreshments, pet tricks and door prizes.
