Ms. Day just loves a housewarming party, what with all the fresh coats of paint, beautiful décor and happy people. So she’s going to be plenty pleased on Saturday, June 7, when she attends a housewarming of sorts at the brand new Art Saint Louis gallery (555 Washington Avenue; 314-241-4810). From 6 to 9 p.m., this art space flings wide its doors to welcome the smiling public into a new era for the nonprofit organization. And the walls will be completely decked with pieces from the Patterns and Pixels exhibit opening the same night. This juried show will feature the work of 41 regional artists (that's Amy Rosen's Kimono II pictured) adhering to the theme of patterns, be they natural or computer-generated. After opening night you can check out the art and the gallery from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday; the show remains up through Thursday, July 24. Learn more information about Art Saint Louis at www.artstlouis.org.
Mondays-Saturdays. Starts: June 7. Continues through July 24, 2008
