THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELED!

You’re pretty tight with your work compadres. You hang at the office with them and party together at tequila-fueled happy hours. But could your motley crew convene on a regular basis outside of work to practice playing music? Now, that would take dedication, and you’re just not that focused. Good thing some employees of a few local companies have been able to pull it together for the Battle of the Corporate Bands, a benefit for Music for Lifelong Achievement held at the Sheldon Concert Hall (3648 Washington Boulevard; 314-533-9900 or www.thesheldon.org). Watch as guys from the Switch try to reign supreme over a band of lawyers, folks from Daugherty Business Solutions and other groups beginning at 7 p.m. Admission costs $10 (at 314-534-1111 or www.metrotix.com), but bring along some extra cash: Your dollars count as votes for your fave band.
