Alfred Hitchcock had a way of scaring the pants off folks. Still does. For proof, just watch how many people glare up at the sky suspiciously after tonight’s screening of Hitchcock’s The Birds. This 1963 film, responsible for making many an ornithophobe over the years, is part of the Old Orchard 2008 Gazebo Movie & Music Series, which kicks off this week and continues most Fridays through July 25. Kim Massie provides this evening’s tunes beginning at 7 p.m., and our feathered frenemies give the humans what-for at 9 p.m. To learn more about the free summer series, visit www.oldorchardwg.com. The concerts and screenings take place in the gazebo at Big Bend Boulevard and South Old Orchard Avenue in Webster Groves.
