Teenagers have always been a difficult group to please — even during the Roaring Twenties. Take Polly as a case in point. Her family is wealthy, she attends a finishing school on the French Riviera, and she's still not happy. What more could she possibly want? Something money can't buy: She's on the hunt for a boyfriend. And, lucky for her, she finds one — but he's a delivery boy. Will these two class-crossed lovers be able to date? Check out Sandy Wilson's spoof comedy The Boy Friend, performed at 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and at 2 p.m. Sunday (June 19 to 29), to find out — and to catch a bunch of fabulous dancing. This play is part of the Summer Showbiz 2008 season at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and is performed on campus in Dunham Hall's theater (I-270 and Route 157). Tickets for the production cost $12 to $15; learn more at 888-328-5168 or www.siue.edu/THEATER.
Thursdays-Sundays. Starts: June 19. Continues through June 29, 2008
