Pot of Gold

Take a dip for charity

Confession time: Ms. Day has this recurring dream in which she is swimming laps in a pool of melty, yummy cheese — while lapping up said fromage. It is the most glorious vision! Alas, this reverie can never come true. Or can it? Tonight at the Town & Country Melting Pot (294 Lamp & Lantern Village), a special pot of cheese is served up as part of a delicious fundraising meal benefiting St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. This Jewels for St. Jude dinner features Caribbean-themed dishes — including cheese fondue, a tropical salad, jerk sirloin, chocolate fondue and more — plus a jewelry giveaway! Of course, the fondue pots aren't large enough for Ms. Day to soak in — but she will certainly be able to eat her fill. Reservations are required (at 636-207-6358 or www.meltingpot.com), and the $50 supper is served from 5 to 8 p.m.
