Get set for Olivette

Published on June 25, 2008

For the 35th year in a row, Olivette is offering area families a 35-acre fairground full of fun, food, music and amusement as Summerfest returns to Stacy Park (9750 Old Bonhomme Road) Thursday through Sunday (June 26 through 29). You can be the judge at the fest's food court, rendering a guilt-free verdict on a fabulous spread of eats — including chicken and fish dinner plates, brats, burgers, and more. After filling up risk-takers can attempt to hold their hurl on the Tilt-A-Whirl because from 5 to 10 p.m. on Thursday and 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday, everyone can enjoy unlimited carnival rides with the purchase of a $15 wristband. And speaking of bands, Summerfest offers free concerts each night at 7 p.m., beginning with the Skyline Band on Thursday and ending with the Ralph Butler Band on Sunday. Admission is free and hours vary, so for more details visit www.olivettemo.com.
