When you were a kid, you certainly didn't think that you wanted to sit in a boring cubicle when you grew up, but your goals were still pretty reasonable. Perhaps you thought it would be cool to be a firefighter, a teacher or a bus driver — all professions of merit. But as the adult version of you has stared at those gray fabric half-walls for a few years, you've dreamt up more exciting careers: Why not be an actor, a painter, a pastry chef, a rock star or a tap dancer? And on really bad days, why not throw in the towel and just join the circus? Ah, wouldn't that be nice? And it would be, except you're no acrobat, and you can't sing, dance, cook or do any of that other stuff either. At least, not yet. By the end of the month, you just may have some new talents, thanks to the Secret Ambition series at the Center of Creative Arts (524 Trinity Avenue, University City). During these Tuesday evening classes (July 1 through 29), adults can learn any of the aforementioned skills for $90 to $130. Just call 314-725-6555 or visit www.cocastl.org to sign up now — and say goodbye to those boring walls (at least on Tuesday nights)!
Tuesdays. Starts: July 1. Continues through July 29, 2008
