Summer School Is in Session

Drink up!

The idea of having to attend summer school fills young students with a certain sense of dread. But adults have a much easier time stomaching the idea of it — as long as their classes are held at the University City Melting Pot (6683 Delmar Boulevard; www.meltingpot.com). The fonduery is holding Wine School, and during class attendees get to sample wines made from the featured grape. Merlot is on the syllabus for Monday, July 7, and pinot noir is the selected subject on Monday, July 14. Feel free to take notes during the lessons even though there won't be a final exam — but you will get a ten percent discount on dinners at the Melting Pot. To register for your coursework, call 314-725-4141; each class runs from 6 to 8 p.m. and costs $35.
