Happy Birthday, Muny!

Celebrate with song

By Mark Fischer

Published on July 09, 2008

The Muny in Forest Park turns 90 this year, and to commemorate the occasion, the outdoor theater stages 90 Years of Muny Magic nightly Monday through Sunday (July 14 through 20). This retrospective features music from all eras and genres, including operetta, rock and more! The specific songs in the production won't be revealed until showtime, but you might be able to make a few guesses. Just visit www.muny.org, surf to the "Show Archives" (under the "Season" menu item), and scan the comprehensive list of plays that have been performed at the Muny since its inception — it will be difficult to think of a show not on the list! Tickets to 90 Years of Muny Magic cost $9 to $64 and can be purchased by calling 314-534-1111 or visiting www.metrotix.com. All performances begin at 8:15 p.m.
