By now we've all heard about the plight of the honeybee, and it's truly tragic. But instead of fretting every time you add a dollop of honey to your morning coffee (mmmm, honey), head over to Bowood Farms (4605 Olive Street; 314-454-6868 or www.bowoodfarms.com) for the Bee Gardens! event. During this free class, the Bee Man will teach people of all ages what plants attract and help out our buzzing buddies. He'll even bring a small hive! The learning session runs from 2 to 4 p.m., and it includes a bee-friendly tour of the beautiful garden center.
