Boiling Over

Brandt's fills you up

By Alison Sieloff

Published on August 06, 2008

Some of us know people who boil up an amazing pot of seafood to share with their friends — and others of us have these friends who can make such a delicious meal, but won't for whatever reason. It's tragic, really. Brandt's Café (6525 Delmar Boulevard, University City; www.brandtscafe.com) pities those in the latter group — and people without any friends, we suppose — so this Loop mainstay hosts a Seafood Boil beginning at 6:30 p.m. tonight. The dinner includes crab legs, shrimp, corn on the cob and potatoes, and a bucket for one costs $15.99 (a two-person meal will set you back $25.99). Call the restaurant at 314-727-3663 to make your reservation.
