Andre Royo's portrayal of Bubbles in HBO's brilliant urban drama The Wire proved that there can be such a thing as a sympathetic crackhead. Based on a real addict that co-executive producer Ed Burns knew when he was a Baltimore detective, the ragged, droopy-eyed Bubbles was often the most moral character on the screen. Royo comes to the Missouri History Museum (Lindell Boulevard and DeBaliviere Avenue) to discuss The Wire with Tony Scott and Tammie Holland of KMJM (Majic 104.9 FM), as part of the museum's "Urban Stories: Reflections of History" series. No word on whether Royo will wear his dusty overcoat and stocking cap. The talk takes place at 6 p.m., and tickets are $10. Call 314-746-4599 or see www.mohistory.org for more information.
