Motörhead7 p.m. Tuesday, September 9. The Pageant, 6161 Delmar BoulevardBy Gray, ChrisPublished on September 02, 2008 at 12:34pmThere's no longevity award in metal, although it's not like Motörhead needs one to validate its existence. Warts and all, the London-born trio has been cranking out blistering speed-metal (heavy on the speed — and the metal) since 1975, longer than many of its fans have been alive. Over the course of approximately 357 albums, including the brand-new Motorizer, Lemmy and pals — ex-King Diamond drummer Mikkey D is the rookie of the group, having joined in 1991 — have gotten more mileage out of raw-amphetamine riffs and biker imagery than even they expected. Once "Killed by Death," it seems nothing can kill Motörhead now.
