Beyond the Call of Duty

Make the connection

Admit it: The millennium's most ubiquitous communication tool has enhanced your life in countless ways. The cell phone has helped you contact roadside assistance, send discrete text messages and learn the joy of $0.99 ringtones. But your phone can even do more. Learn how today at the food court in Chesterfield Mall (291 Chesterfield Mall). That's where your mobile phone will let freedom ring when you donate it to Cell Phones for Soldiers. Before it can help a serviceman call home though, your phone must first be a part of a symbolic flag mural along with other recycled cell phones. Participate in the free community art project designed by local artist Stuart Morse, and donate a used phone from 1 to 4 p.m. For more information about this Chesterfield Arts event, dubbed Make Your Mark 2008, call 636-519-1955 or visit www.chesterfieldarts.org.
