If you haven't checked out the Grove lately, today is the perfect day to discover what you've been missing. From noon to midnight, the third annual GroveFest takes over the 4100 block of Manchester Avenue between South Sarah Street and South Boyle Avenue. Food and drinks are available for purchase from a dozen of the Grove's best restaurants, including Agave Mexican Table & Tequileria, Five and Sweetie Pie's. The family activities run until 6 p.m., so you have plenty of time to catch a ride on a fire truck at the Zombie Squad's Disaster Alley, leave your mark on the giant public mural or just enjoy the live music. After-6-p.m.-grown-up fun includes a zombie movie, a comedy show, the Mandonnas (pictured, onstage at 7 p.m.) and a street dance party, which officially begins at 9 p.m. Admission to GroveFest is free (charges may apply for some activities). For more information go to www.grovefest.org.
