Waters Under the Bridge?

Everyone has skeletons in his or her closet except John Waters, who really just puts it all out there. After disrupting and frightening the typical American audience for decades with seminal films such as Pink Flamingos, which screens at midnight on Friday and Saturday (October 10 and 11) at the Tivoli Theatre (6350 Delmar Boulevard, University City; 314-995-6270 or www.landmarktheatres.com), Mr. Risqué himself descends upon both Laumeier Sculpture Park (12580 Rott Road, Sunset Hills; 314-821-1209 or www.laumeier.org) and the Sheldon Concert Hall (3648 Washington Boulevard; 314-533-9900 or www.thesheldon.org) for some rollicking good times. He'll be at Laumeier from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, October 11, for the opening of his art show, Artistically Incorrect: The Photographs and Sculpture of John Waters; the work remains on view Tuesday through Sunday until Sunday, January 11. And then he brings his delightful one-man show, This Filthy World — and his fabulously naughty, campy attitude — to the stage of the Sheldon at 8 p.m. on Monday, October 13; tickets cost $20 to $25.
