You had a good time on Halloween to be sure, but participating in just a single night of costume-cavorting hasn't really left you feeling fulfilled. Another evening of dressing up would suit you just fine, but you're thinking you might get looks if you bopped down to the corner dive in your sock-hop outfit at this late date (you're probably right). So instead, get on over to the Knights of Columbus hall at 1216 Teson Road in Hazelwood for a '50s-Style Sock Hop fundraiser. This annual event is hosted by Just Because (www.justbecausewecare.com), a local charitable organization that supports children in Honduras by providing school materials, housing and more. You can help, too, by buying a $35 ticket (call 314-895-1330), having a few drinks at the open bar, noshing on some diner-style food and dancing the night away in your best '50s attire. The party runs from 7 to 11 p.m., but the good your donation will do just may last a lifetime for the kids in Honduras.
