Sure, it's super cold outside now, but that doesn't mean you can't sharpen your fishing skills. The annual Let's Go Fishing Show returns to the Gateway Center (1 Gateway Drive, Collinsville, Illinois; 800-289-2388) from noon to 9 p.m. Friday, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday (January 2 through 4). At the show attendees have chances to win hourly prizes and enter a drawing for a 42-inch hi-def TV, all while they peruse more than two dozen seminars and several sale booths loaded with tackle, rods, reels and other accessories. Speakers at the event include former BASS angler of the year Denny Brauer, bass pros Zell Rowland and Jeff Kriet, crappie angler and author Tim Huffman (pictured), founder of Team Catfish Jeff Williams, and Terry and Roxanne Wilson, the husband-and-wife fly-fishing team. Admission costs $3 to $7; all seminars are included in the ticket price. For a complete listing of events, visit www.letsgoshows.com.
