America loves its champions of instant fame, whether they be the ordinary people of Anywhere, USA, who overcome life's obstacles or slightly faded celebrities behaving as if they are ordinary people. If only there were a way to combine the struggle and the ordinary in one show and involve celebrities somehow. Why, here's just the thing: Dancing With the Stars, the hit ABC reality show wherein celebrities of diverse backgrounds compete with real professional dancers on the only battlefield that matters, the dance floor. All right, dancing may not be that "ordinary" a pursuit, but it is when guys like Jerry Springer attempt it. The touring version of the show twirls by the Scottrade Center (1401 Clark Avenue; 314-241-1888 or www.scottradecenter.com) at 7:30 p.m. this evening, starring season-seven favorites Toni Braxton and Lance Bass, and season six star Marlee Matlin. Tickets are $49.50 to $125.
