Herb Your Enthusiasm

In most circumstances the world's issues aren't solved — or even discussed — during a night out. That is, unless these dilemmas involve various bar patrons' anatomy or, say, decisions about whether to order another round. Science Café events, presented by the Saint Louis Science Center and the Missouri Botanical Garden, are different. Not only are matters of some import examined, but all the good parts of the going-out experience are present, too — namely, the food and drinks. Tonight's installment is held at Herbie's Vintage 72 (405 North Euclid Avenue), one of the most happening spots in town, and the topic on tap is medicinal plants. Dr. Rainer Bussmann from the botanical garden will guide us through our relationship with these benevolent species and discuss conservation and sustainability as well.
