New Digs

You'll still dig

Hoffman LaChance Contemporary is dead — long live Hoffman LaChance Contemporary! OK, so it's not really dead. But the gallery did up sticks and move north on Sutton, inching a little bit closer to Maplewood's main drag, Manchester Road. And other than new walls and a new address (2713 Sutton Boulevard, Maplewood; 314-960-5322 or www.hoffmanlachancefineart.com), nothing about HLC has changed. The Hoffman & LaChances are still committed to showing the best in local modern art and international art in all media, as you'll see when you attend the grand opening from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday, February 13. Big ol' abstract paintings by Sarah Giannobile, hand-held long-exposure photographs by Brian Kuhlman and Joslyn Beta Lawrence (pictured), and the hypnagogic collage majesty of Jon Cournoyer are just some of the delights you'll find. If you get there on time, you can even enjoy the snacks provided by Sasha's Wine Bar. The gallery is open Wednesday through Saturday, and the show remains up for an as-yet undetermined period of time.
Wednesdays-Saturdays. Starts: Feb. 13. Continues through March 14, 2009
