Saint Louis Fashion Week officially kicks off on Monday, March 23, and while the first fashion show doesn't happen until Wednesday, March 25, you're going to need the next couple of days to get some outfits ready. Lord knows you don't want to be stressing to put something together after work and pre-show — with the doors opening at Lumière Place Casino & Hotels (999 North Second Street; 314-881-7777) at 7 p.m. every night throughout the week, you won't have nearly enough time to try everything on and decide on something! And trust Ms. Day on this one: When you're going to nightly fashion shows, you can't afford to repeat outfits or wear something you feel ugly in — it just isn't worth it with the models parading around all skinny and young and in cutsey clothes. And while we're on the topic of planning ahead, now is also a good time to get your tickets for the week (or for the shows you want to attend); admission costs $25 per show, and weeklong passes cost $45 to $85 (another piece of advice: spring for the VIP option; guaranteed seating rocks).
