Let's Talk about Art

The worst part of any art exhibit is the commentary provided by the other attendees. There's always someone who talks a little too loudly about what the art means to them on a spiritual level, or a dude who's trying too hard to impress his date, or the moderately outraged viewer who remarks that a "kid could do that." Normally, these people are to be shunned and ignored — but tonight, you'll pay good money to hear what they think at the Craft Alliance Grand Center (501 North Grand Boulevard; 314-686-0062 or www.onsitetheatre.org). Exhibit, a new play written by Joe Hanrahan expressly for this location and its current art show, Jennifer Angus' Locusts and Honey, features a cast wandering through the gallery discussing Angus' work and how they respond to it. In the process, they reveal something of themselves; maybe something they didn't intend to exhibit, in fact. On Site Theatre presents Exhibit at 7 and 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday (April 3 through 11). Tickets are $20.
Fridays, Saturdays. Starts: April 3. Continues through April 11, 2009
