With a name like Parental Advisory, you might expect quite the salacious art show. But that's not the case with the new exhibit at Gallery 210 on the University of Missouri-St. Louis campus (1 University Drive at Natural Bridge Road; 314-516-5976 or gallery210.umsl.edu). The title is actually a pun on the "progress report" nature of the show for parents; this proves that all those tuition payments are worth it, at least for the BFA students at UMSL (communications majors have no recourse but to talk their way out of any parental interrogations). But you don't have to be a parent or a student to attend the show — as long as you're an art lover, you're welcome to attend the free public reception from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 9. Parental Advisory remains up through Saturday, April 25, and the gallery is open every day but Sunday and Monday.
Tuesdays-Saturdays. Starts: April 9. Continues through April 25, 2009
