The majority of trivia nights benefits a specific charity or cause, but let's be honest: Most people go to show off their smarts. So just how brainy are you? Mother wants to know — Mother Earth, that is. In honor of her special day (um, that would be Earth Day on Wednesday, April 22), Dr. Edmund A. Babler Memorial State Park (800 Guy Park Drive, Wildwood; www.mostateparks.com/babler.htm) hosts two Earth Day Trivia Challenges at 1 and 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 18. Questions will be on subjects that are anything but trivial: the flora and fauna of Missouri, facts about natural resources and more. And the best part? Participation is free! After all, Mother Earth doesn't need your money — she just wants to know that you're wise enough to help protect and preserve her. Teams can be made up of four to seven people, and spots must be reserved in advance by calling 636-458-3813.
