Adjusting to warmer temperatures is hard on your sinuses — and even more trying for your wardrobe. Right now, ladies across the metro are looking through their closets wondering, "What in the world did I wear last spring? What outfits could I have possibly put together from these clothes? Did I look like an idiot last summer? Seriously, I must've just looked terrible." And we feel your pain. Maybe now would be a good time to donate that old stuff and replace those last-season duds with new ones. But instead of driving all over town to browse, just point your car in the direction of the Chase Park Plaza (212 North Kingshighway Boulevard). The Variety Runway Lights Fashion Show festivities begin at 10:30 a.m. with a cash bar (!) and a silent auction. Then, lunch is served at noon, and the fashion show, which features items from local shops, begins at 12:30 p.m. Post-show you can shop for formal fashions as well as more casual styles at the Variety Boutique. Lunching and shopping with the ladies costs $50 to $75, and proceeds benefit Variety and the children the charity helps. To reserve a ticket, visit www.varietystl.org.
