Delightfully humorous author and essayist David Sedaris returns to St. Louis to read from his newest book, When You Are Engulfed in Flames. In this 2008 collection of essays, Sedaris divulges his secret for quitting smoking (traveling to Hiroshima), drinking the water of his flower vases when his pipes run dry, and delivering more of his detailed musings and observations on human existence. The show begins at 8 p.m. at Powell Symphony Hall (718 North Grand Boulevard). Tickets are $40 to $75 and can be obtained through the box office at 314-534-1700 or through www.slso.org. Left Bank Books will sell books onsite for autograph purposes.
