When donning a classic all-black ensemble, Ms. Day certainly recognizes that her accessories make the outfit. But she always struggles with what jewelry to wear. Should she strive for understated and simple or should she really make a bold, colorful statement? The Gild-A-Lily Party at Neiman Marcus at Plaza Frontenac (1701 South Lindbergh Boulevard) ought to clear things up for her. To this event Day and the other attendees are encouraged to wear all black — a clean slate as it were — because accessorizing demonstrations will be held, and women will have a chance to browse all manner of shoes, purses and gilded goods to complement any ensemble. While listening and looking, Lady Day and the other ladies will sip wine and nibble treats from Moxy, Annie Gunn's, Hollyberry Baking Company and more. Plus, there's an "Accessor-Raffle," and proceeds from the evening benefit Gilda's Club St. Louis, the local branch of a nonprofit named for Gilda Radner that offers support for people living with cancer.
